August.1988: The predecessor of YCIG — Yangtze Optical Communications Group (YOCG) — was officially established and then immediately turned to the preparation for the first joint venture — Yangtze Optical Fiber & Cables Co., Ltd (YOFC).
June 1992: YOCG, NEC and Sumitomo of Japan jointly created Wuhan NEC Optical Communication Industry Co., Ltd.
January 1996: YOCG was incorporated with its partners into YCIG.
June 1999: YCIG passed the assessment sponsored by CAS and the Ministry of Science & Technology of China for the title of National High and New-technology Enterprise and become one of the backbone enterprises in the photo electronic information industry of China.
December 1999: YCIG invested in the manufacturing of RF cables with YOFC and NK China investment B.V. (the Netherlands) to found Wuhan NK Cables Co., Ltd.
November 2000: YCIG listed 45 million A-shares at Shanghai Stock market.
June 2001-April 2004: YCIG set up four holding companies and two business groups. |
